Regents Exam Requirements: Must pass (a grade of 65 or better) these NY State Regents examinations:

Advanced Regents Diploma Requirements: Must also pass (a grade of 65 or better) these NY State Regents examinations:
Chemistry Geometry Algebra II/Trig 3 years of a Foreign Language

In addition, SVF offers these following enhancements to the Ferrer Academic experience:
- Every student receives a Chromebook her Freshmen year

Pre-Med College Advantage Program - admits Sophomores who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, veterinary science or pharmacy. Initial pre-requisites include a student performance of 93% or above in Freshman Math and Biology. Curriculum includes:

Sophomore Year: Honors Chemistry (full year)

2 Internships (with Rockefeller Institute, New York Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, etc) during the summers before junior and senior years

Ferrer-St. John's University Partnership - Ferrer is one of a few select high schools in NYC which participates in the College Advantage Program of St. John's University. Seniors and Juniors are able to earn up to 18 college credits in Economics and Spanish while attending college-level classes at Ferrer during the regular school day with their regular Ferrer faculty, who have been approved by St. John's as adjunct professors. The student is responsible for paying the transcript fee so they can transfer these credits to any college. But if they are accepted to St. John's University, they are immediately offered $8,000 in scholarship money.

Math & Science Academy - 7th grade girls attend 4 Saturday morning sessions in Spring to get enriched in math (the challenges of algebra) and science (applied Forensic Science). The goal of this program is to raise the achievement and confidence of these girls so that they will have a better chance for success in high school.
